Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These terms explain how Life’s Bin Good supplies its services. Please read them before placing an order. They apply alongside the service description, price, schedule and any other information shown at checkout or in a written quotation.

1. About us

Life’s Bin Good is operated by LIFE’S BIN GOOD LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14792341. Our registered office is 5057 Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE.

You can contact us at tom@lifesbingood.co.uk or on 07568 711844. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean LIFE’S BIN GOOD LTD, and “you” and “your” mean the customer.

2. Orders and your contract with us

  • An order placed through our website is an offer to buy the selected service. A contract is formed when we accept the order by sending confirmation or when we begin providing the service, whichever happens first.
  • You must provide accurate contact, billing and service-address information. The service or shipping postcode must be the postcode where the work will be carried out.
  • If a product page, checkout selection, order confirmation or written quotation contains service-specific terms, those details take priority for the selected service, price, number of cleans and frequency. These general terms apply to everything else.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order that contains an obvious pricing or description error, falls outside our coverage, cannot be performed safely, or cannot be fitted into an appropriate collection round. If we cancel before providing any service, we will refund the affected payment.

3. Coverage and collection schedules

  • Wheelie-bin cleaning availability is controlled by the full service-address postcode, not merely a postcode district or the billing address. The postcode checker is a guide based on our current rounds; we confirm the final service arrangement after checking the full address and council collection schedule.
  • We normally clean an emptied bin on the council collection day or the following day. We do not promise a particular arrival time.
  • In standard service areas, regular cleaning is normally offered every four weeks.
  • Where the postcode checker identifies a 3/6-week service area, only that schedule is offered: general bins and food caddies every three weeks, and recycling and garden bins every six weeks. A four-week regular plan is not available in those postcodes.
  • Council collection calendars, bank holidays, weather, road closures, vehicle problems and route changes can affect the exact day. We will take reasonable steps to notify you and rearrange where necessary.
  • References to an estimated number of cleans per year are illustrations based on the selected interval, not a guarantee of a fixed annual total. The actual number can vary with the start date and collection calendar.

4. Wheelie-bin and food-caddy cleaning

We clean the bin or caddy types selected in your order, which may include general-waste, recycling, garden-waste and food containers where the service is available.

  • Food-caddy add-on: food-caddy cleaning is not sold as a standalone service. A one-off food-caddy clean is carried out only alongside a full-size wheelie-bin clean or eligible wheelie-bin package in the same order. Scheduled food-caddy cleaning must accompany the relevant full-size wheelie-bin service and use the same visit cycle.
  • Every bin clean: the inside of the selected emptied container is fully cleaned. All relevant touch points, including the lid and handles, are also cleaned at every visit. Sanitiser and deodoriser are applied as appropriate.
  • One-off and prepaid one-off cleans: the service includes a full clean of both the inside and all exterior surfaces of the selected emptied container.
  • First clean on a regular plan: the first service includes a full clean of both the inside and all exterior surfaces of the selected emptied container.
  • Later regular cleans: the inside and all touch points are still fully cleaned at every visit. The remaining exterior surfaces are cleaned on an ad-hoc basis when, in our reasonable judgement, their condition requires it.
  • We use professional equipment and products. Children and pets should be kept away from the work area until it is safe.
  • Cleaning improves hygiene and odour but cannot guarantee the removal of every stain, discolouration, ingrained smell, pest problem or pre-existing damage.
  • We do not empty bins or remove waste. We will not knowingly clean containers holding hazardous substances, hot ash, chemicals, paint, sharps, clinical waste or other unsafe material.

5. Your responsibilities on cleaning day

  • Ensure the correct bin has been emptied by the council and remains clearly identifiable and accessible to us.
  • Leave it accessible at the agreed location until at least 6pm on the collection day and, where applicable, the following day.
  • Unlock gates and remove vehicles, locks, obstructions or other hazards that could prevent safe access.
  • Make sure the bin is safe to move and is not structurally unsound. Tell us about any known damage before we start.
  • Tell us promptly if the council misses the collection, changes the collection day, or if access will not be possible.

If we attend but cannot complete a clean because the bin is full, unavailable, locked away, collected back in too early, wrongly identified or otherwise inaccessible for a reason within your control, that scheduled visit will normally count as a clean and will not be refunded. If you tell us before the route is finalised, we will try to move the clean to a suitable collection or round date, but this cannot be guaranteed.

If the council has not emptied the bin, contact us as soon as possible. A full bin normally cannot be cleaned. We will confirm the next suitable collection or route date. If we miss an accessible, emptied bin for a reason within our control, we will offer a reasonable rearrangement, account credit or refund for the affected clean.

6. Regular cleaning plans

  • A regular plan runs at the interval selected and accepted for the service postcode: every three, four or six weeks as shown at checkout.
  • Unless the product page expressly says otherwise, a regular plan has a minimum term of six calendar months beginning when we accept the recurring-plan order.
  • After the minimum term, the plan continues on a rolling basis until either party ends it by giving at least 30 days’ written notice.
  • If you ask to end the plan during its minimum term and no statutory cancellation right or other legal right applies, the plan and scheduled payments will normally continue until the minimum term ends. We may agree an earlier end in exceptional circumstances.
  • If different bins are collected on different weeks, they may require separate visits. We do not charge an extra call-out fee where this is included in the accepted order.
  • A food-caddy add-on follows the cycle stated in the accepted order.

7. One-off, prepaid and emergency cleans

  • One-off and prepaid services are paid for as shown at checkout and do not automatically renew.
  • A prepaid package is delivered at the selected eligible interval and for the number of cleans confirmed in the order.
  • One-off and prepaid dates remain subject to postcode coverage, the council collection schedule and local round availability.
  • An emergency clean is normally completed within 48 hours after we have accepted the booking and confirmed the information needed to perform it. This service remains subject to availability, safe access and the bin being empty.

8. Prices and payment

  • The price, payment method and billing interval are those displayed and selected at checkout or set out in an accepted quotation.
  • For a regular plan, the first recurring payment and any clearly displayed one-off sign-up fee are normally taken at checkout. Later payments are taken at the selected three-, four- or six-week interval, not on a monthly basis.
  • By selecting a recurring payment method, you authorise the payment provider to collect amounts due under the plan. Any Direct Debit is also covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
  • If a payment fails, we may ask you to update the payment method, retry the payment and suspend future visits while the account is overdue. This does not remove liability for charges properly due.
  • We will not change an agreed price during a minimum term unless the change is required by law or you agree to it. After the minimum term, we may change prices by giving reasonable advance notice. You may end the rolling plan before the new price takes effect, subject to any notice already due.

9. Your 14-day cancellation right

If you are a consumer and make the contract online, by telephone or away from our business premises, you will usually have the legal right to cancel it without giving a reason during the 14 days after the day the contract is made. This cooling-off right is separate from the minimum term of a regular plan.

To cancel during that period, send us a clear statement by email to tom@lifesbingood.co.uk, by post to our registered office, or through our contact page before the period expires. Include your name, service address and order number if available.

If you expressly ask us to begin the service during the 14-day period and then cancel after work has started, we may charge a reasonable amount for the part supplied up to cancellation. If the service is fully completed during that period after your express request and acknowledgement, the statutory right to cancel that completed service will end. We will make any refund due without undue delay and normally within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.

These rights do not apply to business customers and do not limit any rights you have where a service is faulty, misdescribed or not provided with reasonable care and skill.

10. Changing or cancelling a booking

  • To change a service address, bin type, collection schedule or visit, contact us as early as possible. A house move always requires a new postcode and collection-schedule check.
  • After any statutory cooling-off period, cancellation of a one-off or prepaid service may be subject to reasonable costs or losses already incurred and any service-specific cancellation terms clearly shown before ordering. We will not retain more than is permitted by law.
  • To end a regular plan after its minimum term, email us with your name and service address. We will confirm the effective end date in writing.
  • Stopping a Direct Debit or card authority does not by itself cancel the service contract or remove liability for sums already due. Please contact us so that the contract and payment instruction can both be closed correctly.

11. Gutter vacuuming and other property services

  • Gutter vacuuming, pressure washing and similar services are supplied to the scope described on the product page or quotation.
  • “Any Size House” offer: the advertised fixed price covers one standard domestic dwelling at one service address where the guttering can be reached safely from ground level using our normal gutter-vacuum equipment. It does not cover multiple dwellings or separate buildings, blocks of flats, commercial premises, exceptionally large or complex properties, or work requiring roof access, scaffolding, a mobile elevating work platform or other specialist access equipment.
  • We may ask for current photographs or carry out an access assessment before confirming the booking. If the property falls outside the fixed-price offer, we will explain why and offer a separate quotation before any additional charge or work. If you do not accept that quotation, we will cancel the affected booking and refund any payment for work not supplied.
  • For gutter vacuuming, you must provide access to a safe, working standard mains electricity socket unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • You must provide safe and practical access to the property and tell us about access restrictions, extensions, conservatories, fragile surfaces, overhead cables or other hazards before the visit.
  • We may postpone or stop work where weather, access or site conditions make it unsafe or likely to cause damage.
  • Gutter vacuuming removes accessible loose debris. It does not include clearing underground drains, dismantling sealed or inaccessible downpipes, repairs, sealing leaks, replacing parts or guaranteeing that the guttering is defect-free unless those items are expressly included in a written quotation.

12. Commercial work

Commercial bin cleaning and other business work may be supplied under a separate written quotation or agreement. Where those terms conflict with this page, the written business quotation or agreement takes priority. Consumer cancellation rights do not apply to business customers.

13. Our standard of service and complaints

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. If you believe a service has not been completed correctly, contact us as soon as reasonably possible—preferably within 48 hours—with the service address, date and photographs where useful. This preferred reporting time does not reduce your legal rights. We will investigate and, where appropriate, repeat the affected work, provide a proportionate price reduction, credit the account or refund the affected service.

14. Damage, safety and liability

  • We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, ordinary wear and tear, or damage caused by a bin, gutter or property feature that was already defective, fragile, incorrectly fitted or structurally unsound, unless our negligence made the damage worse.
  • We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information, unsafe access or a failure to follow your responsibilities in these terms.
  • For consumer contracts, we do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
  • If you use a service for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings or other indirect business loss, except where the law does not allow that liability to be excluded.

15. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, council collection disruption, road closure, breakdown, utility failure, illness, accident or official restriction. We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and rearrange the affected service. If performance becomes impossible or is delayed for an unreasonable period, either party may end the affected service and we will refund any payment for work not supplied.

16. Ending service by us

We may suspend or end a service for non-payment, abusive or threatening behaviour, repeated failure to provide access, unsafe conditions, misuse of the service, or because the address is no longer within a workable route. Where reasonable, we will give advance notice and an opportunity to put the problem right. If we end a prepaid service without fault on your part, we will refund the unused portion after deducting the fair value of work already provided.

17. Personal information

We use personal information to manage orders, payments, routes, customer support and legal obligations. We handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy terms.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, payment arrangements or the law. The version accepted when you ordered will continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise. For rolling services, we will give reasonable notice of any material change. If a material change places you at a significant disadvantage, you may end the rolling service before it takes effect, subject to any minimum term already agreed.

19. General legal terms

  • If any part of these terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
  • A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
  • No person other than you and us has a right to enforce this contract under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
  • These terms and the contract are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts that apply to your home address where the law gives you that right. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.

20. Model cancellation form
