HELP & ANSWERS
Wheelie-bin cleaning FAQs
Clear answers about availability, schedules, prices and what happens on cleaning day. Your full postcode is the definitive way to check coverage and the cycle available at your address.
THE SERVICE
Before you book
How often can my bin be cleaned?
The available cycle follows the local collection schedule returned by our postcode checker. Depending on the address, regular or prepaid cleaning may be every 4 weeks, or every 3 weeks for general-waste bins and every 6 weeks for recycling and garden bins. One-off cleaning is also available at eligible addresses.
Which areas do you cover?
We serve selected approved postcodes across Northamptonshire and Cranfield. We do not cover every postcode in those wider areas, so enter your full postcode before booking. The checker is the source of truth for exact availability.
What does a clean cost?
Regular cleaning starts from £5 per wheelie bin, per clean. Fixed prepaid wheelie-bin packages start from £48, one-off wheelie-bin cleans are £12, and food-caddy cleans start from £6. The product page shows the complete price before you add anything to your basket.
Can you clean commercial bins?
Yes. We can quote for commercial bins up to 1,100 litres and for multi-bin sites. Contact us with the bin sizes, quantity and postcode so we can confirm access and scheduling.
ON CLEANING DAY
What to expect
When will you clean my bin?
We normally visit after the council has emptied your bin, usually on the collection day. Leave the empty bin accessible until 6pm. We confirm the first visit after receiving your full address and collection details.
What is included in each clean?
We pressure-wash the inside, clean the lid, handles and main touchpoints, apply an antibacterial treatment, finish with a deodoriser and return the bin neatly to your property.
What happens to the dirty water?
Wastewater is contained and handled responsibly rather than being left across your drive or pavement. We use harvested rainwater where practical and work to minimise unnecessary water use.
What if different bins are collected in different weeks?
That is fine. If the selected bins are emptied in different weeks, we arrange separate visits at no additional call-out charge.
PAYMENTS & PACKAGES
Choosing the right option
What is the difference between regular and prepaid cleaning?
Regular cleaning uses recurring payments at the selected service interval and has a one-off £5 sign-up fee. A prepaid package is paid once at checkout, has no Direct Debit or automatic renewal, and ends after the stated number of cleans.
Will a prepaid package renew automatically?
No. There is no recurring payment or automatic renewal. We will contact you near the end of the package to ask whether you would like to buy another one.
Can I add food-caddy cleaning?
Yes. Scheduled food-caddy cleaning is an add-on to a wheelie-bin service and uses the same visit cycle. A one-off food-caddy clean is available only with a full-size wheelie-bin clean or eligible wheelie-bin package in the same order.
Still unsure which option applies?
Start with the postcode checker. It routes you to the eligible service and prevents unsupported cleaning cycles from being added to the basket. You can also call or text 07568 711844.
